My baby is already one year old; and I told myself that someday I would write my story. When I was searching on the internet for information and support, I always used to find sad stories and never happy ones; I thought that once in a while we should write about stories that have happy ending as well.

It was August 2017 when I knew I would have a baby! We were a family of three and all of us were so happy waiting for the fourth member of our family. It was on the seventh week when my joy turned into fear. The doctors detected a hematoma; I stopped working and had to be at rest. It was very difficult since my baby was 18 months old back then, he wanted my love and I couldn’t be with him 100%.

When I was twelve weeks pregnant, the hematoma was still there, but it hadn´t grown so doctors allowed me to return to my regular activities. What a big mistake.

I had to go to the hospital 15 days later. I remember that day as if it were today; it was a nightmare. I was sitting in the chair of the stylist, when I start feeling something weird, as if I was urinating. I was bleeding. They called the ambulance, my husband was devastated and I was lost.

When I arrived at the hospital and looked at the ultrasound, the heart of my baby was beating, I cried a lot. It was the best thing that could happen to me; he had life, there was hope. What had happened was a placental detachment. Those were very difficult days, I couldn´t be with my kid. I hardly moved and I felt that I was bleeding. I went home 8 days later but it was a terrible month, I suffered at every moment, even to go to the bathroom.

I prayed that everything would go well. At the 35th week my water broke, and a perfectly healthy baby were born. We didn’t need anything else, and I could breastfed him without any troubles.
